SightHealth Primary Eyecare is seeking a full-time Optical sales associate to provide optical dispensary services in our busy, professional practice in the St Johns and Jacksonville Florida area.
The primary function of the optician is to ensure patient satisfaction with the quality of care and service put forth in our mission statement and company values, particularly as it pertains to eyewear fulfillment.
This is can be a fully on the job trained skill for those that don't have the experience but meet the qualifications.
*Job Duties*
1.
Assists patients with frame and lens selections, coating options, repairs and adjustments.
2.
Educates patients on lens and frame options in relation to lifestyle needs, trains patients on care of eyewear.
3.
Provides benefits counseling.
4.
Assists with frame board management; enters frames into inventory, helps choose frame lines.
5.
Develops vendor relationships and cooperative marketing and charitable efforts.
6.
Tracks key statistics: total eyewear sales, multiple pairs, dispensing ratios.
7.
Maintains the inventory and appearance of the optical gallery, responsible for dispensing equipment and supply levels, organizes product literature.
8.
Performs other incidental and related duties as required by the practice work flow and as assigned.

*Qualifications*
1.
Experience as a dispensing optician, preferred, but not required.
Completely trainable position for the right person with the qualities required.

Must have computer skills and the ability to navigate the electronic health records system.
3.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
4.
Superior verbal and written skills.
5.
Strong interpersonal skills essential.
6.
Concern for satisfied employees and customers; strong sense of mission.
7.
Previous sales experience or healthcare experience preferred, but nor required.
8.
Friendly, bright, and detail and team oriented.

As with all employees, this role is to be a part of the team, which means there is a standing expectation of willingness to accept other duties as assigned to support the team and the overall goals, growth and health of the practice.
*Schedules, Compensation and Benefits:*
8 hr shift Scheduled Monday-Friday between hours of 8:00-6:00 pm
Starting hourly rate $16-$20 per hour
Bonus Pay: Holiday, Performance and Goals Bonus
2 weeks of PTO available after 6 months of starting job
