This VP Commercial Loan Officer at DLP Bank will be responsible for growing and developing a commercial and consumer loan portfolio.
This includes ensuring compliance with lending policies and regulatory requirements, and actively identifying new lending opportunities within the community.
What you have already achieved: (Requirements) Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field (MBA preferred) Experience in commercial lending, mortgage lending, or a combination of both Proven track record of success in managing loan portfolios and achieving lending growth targets.
Strong knowledge of lending regulations, compliance requirements, and risk management practices Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
Strong analytical, financial analysis, and critical thinking skills Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues at all levels.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
High ethical standards and integrity, with a commitment to fostering a culture of compliance and risk management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and loan management software Possesses strong network of contacts within Jacksonville and St.
Augustine area (preferred) What you are already great at: (Responsibilities) Loan Portfolio Management: Develop and implement effective loan strategies, policies, and procedures in accordance with regulatory guidelines to ensure the overall health and growth of the bank's loan portfolio.
Monitor and manage loan portfolio metrics, including delinquencies, charge-offs, loan loss provisions, and profitability, and make recommendations for corrective actions, as necessary.
Conduct regular reviews of loan portfolios to identify potential risks and provide guidance and support to loan officers in managing problem loans.
Collaborate with credit risk management to maintain credit quality and compliance with underwriting standards.
Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of loan officers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure consistent delivery of exceptional service and achievement of lending goals.
Set performance expectations, establish metrics, and monitor individual and team performance to drive results and meet lending targets.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, professional development, and employee engagement.
Lending and Business Development: Proactively identify lending opportunities within the community through relationship building and market research.
Serve as the primary point of contact for large or complex loan requests, conducting thorough financial analysis and risk assessments, and making informed lending decisions.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with borrowers, realtors, builders, and other key stakeholders, actively promoting the bank's lending products and services.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and competitive market conditions to drive innovation and ensure the bank remains competitive in its lending offerings.
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all lending regulations, including but not limited to the Fair Lending Act, and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA).
Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to develop and implement effective controls, policies, and procedures to mitigate lending risks.
Provide guidance and support to loan officers on compliance and regulatory requirements, conducting periodic training and assessments.
