Chop Shop Assistant Manager
Attention to detail is particularly important for an Assistant Manager because Chop Shop has high standards of food safety, employee safety, and product quality.
Chop Shop Assistant Managers must be devoted to providing the best customer service possible.
Contributions
* Assist Owner and Managing Partners in setting the standard for staff to guest customer interaction.
* Order and maintain all retail and some F&B inventory including, but not limited to produce, cheeses, shelf stable retail products, merchandise, cookware, beer, wine
* Train all FOH staff on current POS system as well as company policies and procedures
* Communicate directly with guests in person, phone and via company email and work in tandem with production manager/lead cutters to meet each customer’s needs
* Maintain social media presence throughout the week.
* Administrative tasks including, but not limited to, scheduling, invoicing, marketing emails, signage, labeling, coordination of FOH prep lists with production manager/lead cutters
* Communicate with vendors professionally
Additionally be able to complete all Chop Shop Cashier responsibilities which include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Providing premier customer service, including greeting them and responding to questions
* Facilitating all customer purchases
* Taking customer pre-orders
* Answering phones
* Checking mail
* Cutting and preparing some produce and dairy sold at Chop Shop
* Cutting and preparing some prepared foods
* Packaging produce and some prepared foods
* Follows and fulfills daily production prep lists
* Obtaining additional skills to increase proficiency
* Dynamically selling product by providing customers with information needed to make product-related decisions
* Helping to verify and unload produce and retail deliveries from trucks that meet Chop Shop standards of food safety
* Maintaining, filling and rotating product in produce case, prepared food cooler, beer, wine and retail products
* Moving produce, prepared foods and from cooler to appropriate case/cooler
* Maintaining Chop Shop’s high standards for product guidelines in sanitation
* Cleaning equipment, dishes, utensils and all surrounding areas
* Assisting in other duties as assigned by Production Manager and Managing Partner
Required Qualifications
* 18 years of age or older
* Ability to deliver friendly, courteous, prompt customer service
* Ability to perform basic math problems
* Ability to interpret and follow recipes, solve problems and do simple math
* Ability to work holidays and overtime
Preferred Qualifications
* Able to work well with others as a team member
* Previous experience in one of the following: food/beverage/hospitality/butchery preferred
* A passion for serving people
Work Conditions
An Assistant Manager will perform their duties primarily in an open retail space, where the temperature ranges from 70 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit at all times.
Work involves lifting and carrying product weighing up to 50 pounds, repetitive arm and hand movements, eye-hand coordination, and standing in place for long periods of time while interacting with Guests and overseeing all produce, retail items and prepared food items throughout the shift.
